    Terms of Service

    Roamschool is operated by Designed For Results Pty Ltd (ABN 99 682 428 904), a company incorporated in New South Wales, Australia.

    1. Agreement to Terms

    By creating a Roamschool account, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

    These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Designed For Results Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our", "Roamschool"). They are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

    2. Eligibility

    Roamschool is designed for use by Australian families with school-aged children. To create an account, you must:

    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Be the parent or legal guardian of any child whose profile you create
    • Have the legal authority to enter into this agreement
    • Provide accurate and complete registration information

    Children under 18 may not create their own accounts. All accounts must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.

    3. The Service

    Roamschool provides an AI-powered educational platform for travelling families, including:

    • Curriculum-aligned learning activities for Maths, English, Science, and HASS (Foundation to Year 10)
    • An AI tutor character that guides children through activities
    • A travel journal with photo upload and map features
    • An Explore feature that identifies photos and generates educational content
    • Puzzle activities, creative arts tools, and a calendar planner
    • A parent dashboard with progress reports

    We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

    4. Accounts and Security

    You are responsible for:

    • Keeping your login credentials secure
    • All activity that occurs under your account
    • Ensuring your children use the service appropriately
    • Notifying us immediately at support@roamschool.au if you suspect unauthorised access

    You may create multiple child profiles under a single parent account, subject to the limits of your subscription plan. You are responsible for all child profiles you create.

    5. Subscription Plans and Pricing

    5.1 Plans

    Roamschool offers two subscription plans:

    • Single Plan — one child profile, full access to all features.
    • Family Plan — up to 5 child profiles, full access to all features, with individual progress tracking for each child.

    Current pricing for each plan is displayed at app.roamschool.au at the time of subscription. Both plans are available on a monthly or annual billing cycle. Annual plans offer a saving compared to the monthly rate.

    5.2 Free Trial

    New accounts receive a free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial period, you must subscribe to continue using the service. We will send you a reminder email before your trial expires.

    Roamschool may, at its discretion, extend the free trial period for individual accounts (for example, for families who have experienced technical issues or who are travelling in remote areas with limited connectivity).

    5.3 Billing

    Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By providing your payment details, you authorise us to charge your nominated payment method on each billing date.

    If a payment fails, we will notify you by email and provide a grace period of 7 days to update your payment details before access is suspended.

    5.4 Cancellation

    You may cancel your subscription at any time through the account settings or by contacting support@roamschool.au. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial months, except as required by Australian Consumer Law.

    5.5 Price Changes

    We may change our subscription prices from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase by email. Your continued use of the service after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

    6. Acceptable Use

    You agree to use Roamschool only for its intended educational purpose. You must not:

    • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
    • Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or inappropriate for children
    • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the service
    • Share your account credentials with people outside your immediate family
    • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the service
    • Attempt to circumvent any content filters or safety measures
    • Upload photos or content that includes other people without their consent

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

    7. Content and Intellectual Property

    7.1 Our Content

    All curriculum content, AI-generated activities, tutor characters, branding, and software are owned by Designed For Results Pty Ltd or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for personal, non-commercial family educational purposes only.

    7.2 Your Content

    You retain ownership of content you create in Roamschool, including journal entries and uploaded photos. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to your family. We do not use your children's journal entries or photos for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

    7.3 AI-Generated Content

    Content generated by our AI tutor is provided for educational purposes. While we take care to ensure accuracy and age-appropriateness, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. We do not warrant the accuracy of AI-generated content and recommend that parents review content with their children.

    8. Content Safety

    We take the safety of children seriously. Our platform includes:

    • AI content filtering to prevent generation of inappropriate content
    • A moderation queue for flagged queries and responses
    • Age-appropriate vocabulary and content guidelines applied to all AI prompts
    • Parental oversight through the Parent Dashboard

    If you encounter any content you believe is inappropriate, please report it immediately to safety@roamschool.au. We will review and respond within 24 hours.

    9. Disclaimer of Warranties

    Roamschool is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

    We do not warrant that:

    • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
    • AI-generated content will be accurate or complete
    • The service will meet your specific educational requirements

    Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

    10. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Roamschool is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

    We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of educational opportunity.

    11. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Designed For Results Pty Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the service.

    12. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

    • Violate these Terms
    • Fail to pay subscription fees after the grace period
    • Engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour

    Upon termination, your access to the service will cease. You may request a copy of your data within 30 days of termination. After 30 days, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

    You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@roamschool.au.

    13. Changes to These Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

    14. Governing Law and Disputes

    These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
