1. Introduction
Roamschool is an educational platform designed for travelling Australian families. We take the privacy of your family — and especially your children — very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights in relation to it.
By creating a Roamschool account, you (the parent or legal guardian) agree to this Privacy Policy on behalf of yourself and any child profiles you create. Children under 18 may not create their own accounts. All accounts must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
This policy complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), as well as applicable international standards including the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the UK/EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where relevant.

3.4 Photos and Location Data
The Explore feature allows children to upload photos of things they discover on their travels. These photos are processed by an AI vision model to identify the subject and generate educational content. Photos are stored on secure cloud servers and are only accessible to the family account that uploaded them.
Location data is only collected when a child or parent explicitly chooses to use the "Use my location" feature in the Journal. Location is not tracked passively or in the background.
