ACARA V9 is the current version of the Australian Curriculum, published by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority. It defines what every Australian student should learn, in every subject, at every year level. Roamschool is built on this curriculum — it is not an add-on or a marketing claim. Every question your child answers is tagged to a specific content description in a specific strand in a specific subject.

They move at their own pace — not the classroom's
There are no year-level gates in Roamschool. A child does not move to the next level because the calendar says it is time. They move when they are genuinely ready.
As your child answers questions, Roamschool tracks their accuracy and builds a mastery score for each curriculum strand. The progression works like this:
Introduced — they have started working on this strand
Practising — they are building confidence, getting more right than wrong
Achieving — they are consistently accurate and working independently
Extending — they have mastered this level and are ready for the next
When a child reaches Extending in a strand, Roamschool automatically advances them to the next level of content — harder questions, new concepts, deeper material. This happens strand by strand, subject by subject. A child can be Extending in Number while still Practising in Algebra. The app tracks and adapts each strand independently.
This means a child who is naturally strong in Maths moves faster in Maths. A child who needs more time in English gets more time in English. No child is held back. No child is pushed ahead before they are ready.
The parent dashboard shows every strand at its current stage, so you always know exactly where your child is at — not just a percentage, but a meaningful descriptor that tells you what they can do.
